I did in my kitchen, something very easy that everybody can do DIY on how to add a tile backsplash to your kitchen. However, it's all peel and stick it's affordable. It's removable! You can use it in your home if you're, renting an apartment or condo just something you can switch out whenever you wanted to. So I thought I would show you what I did that totally changed. The look of my kitchen. I have to see if I have a before you can see that gray color on my wall. I hated that and I hated my countertops and just by changing the backsplash or adding the backsplash.
I wake up every day and I actually love my kitchen now. Well, let's not say love, I don't want to spend a lot of time in here. What I did was, I went to Walmart or I believe this is that Lowe's and I got this stick tiles and they have come in different patterns, and I got two packs of these which had, I believe, four sheets in them. So the sheets actually come like this, like puzzle pieces and what you do is it has a backing that you just peel this piece right here off and you find it on your wall. The front is actually kind of sticky.
It comes with a plastic covering it up. You just peel that off peel the back off and then you just stick it up on your wall like this and attach all of them together, like a puzzle piece now this side over here. Obviously, it's not gon na work, but I had previously because I had this huge gap right here, so I had to fill it in. You can see if you look really close all the mistakes, but if you're far away you don't even notice, it's not something to keep in mind. So this one I had cut clearly not straight. I must have been drinking that night.
So what you would do is you would take this one and you would put it over here. Like I said, I'm gon na have to cut this and make it straighter and link it up. The tiles don't have to match the ones on the wall which shockingly these actually do so that works out well and then from. Are you put this one together like that, and it looks pretty good now I would say mmm you can see how the paper I had peeled off. I would say I did mine in under an hour. I did this one and I went all the way up to the top over here I took the faceplate for the outlet off and I cut around where the outlet is on the inside and I put the faceplate back so that it looks really well and then Was on the fans about they want to do it behind the stove or not.
So what I did was I went on the internet and I googled tons of pictures of kitchens and every one of them had the backsplash. Just like that. So I decided we're gonna go ahead and do it now when we have the back done, we'll show you from there. So this is what it looks like when I have peeled it off of the backing and I've gone and cut that line pretty straight and we're gon na go ahead and match it up over there and then the extra piece I'm gon na put over there as Well, I have to remove the faceplate and I probably don't have to go and buy another pack of these because I'm out like I said these come with four, so make sure you get it.
I did before you decide to go out and buy them or actually there's a website. You can order them online and kind of get them homina. You need the backsplash took months, six of them no three, four, five, six yeah about six of them and then that wall right there had four of them as well, but I still need to get some extra to do.
